Behold, my first-ever plushie! Uh, kind of!
A little background about this sweetie. A few years back, I was at my town's anime convention and attended a "Make Your Own MLP Plushie" panel. Because the supplies there weren't too great, I opted to just take the main body of the plushie we were provided with and finish it at home.
Unfortunately, me being the procrastinator I am, I just left the poor thing alone for the next few years. One reason was because I couldn't decide how best to design the plushie. I first considered making it a pony version of Klavier Gavin, but then I got a Figma figurine of Link and figured, "Hey, why not give him a horse?" And thus, my decision to turn the plushie into Epona came about.
For anyone curious, I made the mane, tail, and fringe of fur over the hooves out of white yarn. I made a base out of tan felt, cut pieces of yarn to appropriate lengths, and glued it in the correct pattern. I then unraveled the yarn and fluffed it accordingly. (Note to anyone who tries this: unraveled yarn does come apart if tugged on, so you need to handle it carefully.)
The saddle is removable. I made it from two pieces of felt, the bottom piece being folded to make a seat back. It's held on by a strip of felt, and snaps are attacked to the underside to allow it to be taken on and off.
